Wish I would have paid more attention to the length of the necklace and measured my daughters neck. 13" is very short and meant for a 4 or 5 year old. Anyone older needs to go to a 16" necklace. Also, the locket is very small. No picture will fit inside, so only engraving maybe(And you'd be limited to one or two initials)? I'm guessing its just a locket so a little girl can open it up. I wanted something my daughter could keep over the years and maybe give to her daughter one day...and so on. Its sturdy and very pretty, I just didn't do the research I should've done.
