The chain is extraordinarily cheap but seems sturdy enough.
The four stars are not due to the chain though - I got this because it LOOKS silver. Indeed, it IS silver. But it's under the heading "18k Gold Overlay". There is another pendant, exactly the same, that LOOKS like it's the gold overlay but is listed as silver. I think they've mixed them up.
I ordered another and I'm hoping it too is silver, not gold, but I had to reduce the number of stars b/c you can't know which you're getting - you're either hoping that you're getting the pictured item or the described item but you can't be certain which you'll get.
If they straighten out the descriptions and items I would bump it up half a star b/c the chain does deserve some mark down.
At any rate, it's pretty enough that I bought a second one as a gift.
Edit 10-21: The second one came just the same as the first so this is clearly the silver cross rather than the gold overlay cross.
