The black rubber cord was sturdy and the contrast between the cross and the cord adds to its visual appeal. The rubber cord has an extender so that the cord can be shortened by approximately 2 inches. This was a gift for a graduate from a Christian Academy and it was very well received. Although it is advertised as a necklace for men, it could just as easily be worn by either gender as it is not overly large, is a simple design, and is basically gender neutral. This necklace looks much nicer than what the picture represents.
