When it was delivered i took the cross out and couldn't believe it, the photograph does not do it justice. It is much lovelier than the image shows. Many times the photo looks better than the actual product, not this one.
The cross is delicate and the sterling silver cross and sterling silver chain glimmer and shine. Literally, the light that comes off this cross is divine. I got this as a gift for a nine-year-old girl and an eight-year-old girl. The size of the cross is small enough that it is appropriate for young girls like this to women who like small, feminine jewelry. My friends grandmother, who is 99-years-old said this was a piece she would feel comfortable wearing, too.
The poem that came with the cross is beautiful, too. My neighbor and a couple of friends were over when it came, we read the poem out loud and everyone enjoyed it. Very poignant.
When you get your package put together, this makes a wonderful gift and is small enough that you can mail it in an envelope, so the postage cost is reasonable to mail. You do need to put the cross package together. The velvet insert, the blue box with a magnetic closure, the poem, and the cross are packaged separately. But, it is very easy to put it all together.
This is a gift I will keep giving to the girls in my family and to my friends young girls. Since it is sterling silver and so stunning, it is a piece they will love for years to come. And, isn't that what presents are all about? The price is really good, too.
What is significant about this cross is it has two partner crosses, one is a dog tag with a cut-out cross. The adorned cross I purchased fits into this cross. And, the dog tag cut-out cross necklace is wonderful for boys and men. There is also another cross, it is a sterling silver cross that has no stones on it, just a plain sterling silver cross, which is great for girls or women who like simple jewelry and also for boys and men. So, i can gift this to the young men in my family.
Another thing I have to mention, the service from The Men's Jewelry Store is Sterling, too. They were kind, courteous, and so efficient. My gifts were shipped the day I ordered them, I was given a tracking number immediately and an email the day they were to be delivered. I also had a question and it was answered very fast. From now on, I will contact them for any other jewelry purchases. It is so nice to feel appreciated by a company, acknowledged and to do business with kind people, it made me feel really good. Amazon knows how to pick 'em.
What a pleasant surprise to find a wonderful gift that will be treasured for years to come and a company I treasure and will do business with for years to come. Who can beat that?!
