This is a pewter Cross pendant along with a black adjustable cord necklace. The pendant is from The Name of the Cross series and this style of Cross is called the "Aariel Cross" which means "Fearlessness". The pendant is 1 1/2 inches long (without bail) by 1 1/8 inches wide. It is both the emblem of the Christian faith and a more ancient and universal image of the cosmos reduced to its simplest terms; two intersecting lines making four points of direction. These stood for the four cardinal points and the four rain bearing winds, the four phases of the moon and the four great gods of the elements.. The cross was also a summary of the Tree of Life. Various civilizations, such as Roman and Persian and the Pagan world had their own version and symbols within the cross.
